Rest (29.07.06)

Home

Dad set off in the morning on Picaroon (our boat) towards Bornholm, while we had a rest day at home.

Rest (30.07.06)

Home - Ystad - Rønne

We set off with Charlotte at lunchtime, having been to church in the morning, on a train from Copenhagen, over the bridge to Sweden. At Ystad we got off our train and boarded the high speed ferry which took us to Rønne, the largest town on Bornholm, where Dad was waiting for us in Picaroon. When we arrived we unpacked and had a swim in the harbour before supper at an Italian restaurant in town.

Jamie and Charlotte, on the ferry, coming into Rønne.

Laura, Charlotte and Jamie, squished into Charlotte’s small dinghy.

About Azafady »

Azafady is a registered UK charity and Malagasy NGO, which works in southeast Madagascar with local communities on nature conservation, health and education.

About Madagascar »

Madagascar is the world's fourth largest island. It has an absolutely staggering diversity of plant and animal species, 80% of which are found nowhere else on the planet. However, while one of the biologically richest places on Earth; it is also one of the world’s poorest countries. The country typically spends as much on debt repayments each year as it does on health and education combined.
