Day 4 (25.07.06)

Hadsund - Estruplund - Gjerrild

62.47 km or 38.79 miles

We set off from Hadsund, crossing the bridge over the fjord, and biked down to Udbyhøj. Here we actually had to press a button to summon the tiny ferry which took us across Randers Fjord… Actually, Jamie was getting a bit overexcited with the button pressing, and the old ferry man didn’t look too amused when he collected us! We met Mum and Charlotte (Gabby had flown back to the UK in the morning) at a church in Estruplund for lunch. From there we biked round the coast to Gjerrild camp site, which had a swimming pool, mini golf, etc. Needless to say, Jamie and Charlotte were very happy!

About Azafady »

Azafady is a registered UK charity and Malagasy NGO, which works in southeast Madagascar with local communities on nature conservation, health and education.

About Madagascar »

Madagascar is the world's fourth largest island. It has an absolutely staggering diversity of plant and animal species, 80% of which are found nowhere else on the planet. However, while one of the biologically richest places on Earth; it is also one of the world’s poorest countries. The country typically spends as much on debt repayments each year as it does on health and education combined.
