Day 7 (28.07.06)

Sjællands Odde - Farum - Home

80.66 km or 50.09 miles

We woke up in the morning and the rain had abated a little, but after breakfast it picked up again, so Mum and Charlotte got soaked when they packed up the tents, while we got changed into our full wet-weather gear. We then set off past Nykøbing to Rørvig, where we met Mum and Charlotte again, and loaded our bikes onto the back of the car, in order to get the ferry across Isefjord to Hundested. We then went down the road to Sølage to get the small ferry across Roskilde Fjord to Kulhuse. From Kulhuse we made our way through the woods, crossing the bridge to Frederikssund, and biking across to Farum. By this time the rain had stopped and it was just overcast, but we were fairly tired and damp, so we took the train from Farum to Svanemølle, and then biked home.

About Azafady »

Azafady is a registered UK charity and Malagasy NGO, which works in southeast Madagascar with local communities on nature conservation, health and education.

About Madagascar »

Madagascar is the world's fourth largest island. It has an absolutely staggering diversity of plant and animal species, 80% of which are found nowhere else on the planet. However, while one of the biologically richest places on Earth; it is also one of the world’s poorest countries. The country typically spends as much on debt repayments each year as it does on health and education combined.
